Triple event at AZ Factory: the brand unveiled the first looks of its three amigos in a pop-up in the Marais, each subtly taking up elements from the universe of the brand’s founder, Alber Elbaz.
Ester Manas began working on the collection in mid-April, just nine weeks ago, on her way to the AZ Factory studio, located on a high floor of the Fondation Cartier, the group’s iconic jewelry brand.
The first amigo had already presented his work to journalists during a few meetings by videoconference, but this was the first time that he revealed his ideas for AZ in person.
Perched on a Stockman bust, a marvelous blue and white silk dress, pleated below the waist, and surmounted by an elegant blouse, with a trompe-oeil giving the illusion of blue ink leaking into a patch pocket.
But in his spare time, between his departure from Lanvin and the opening of AZ Factory, he liked to go and admire the Parisiennes jogging along the Seine.
The Franco-Belgian duo of Ester Manas will only start marketing their amigo collection in the fall.
