Sumary of AZ Factory opens triple Amigo pop-up in Marais:
- Most especially their fantastic Amigo prints that alloyed contemporary representations of substance – including cooked poultries – and classical Flemish still-life lubricant paintings of dinners.
- Using Alber messages like large shapes; visual puns; quirky enlightenment and night-time elegance each of the three – Thebe Magugu, Cyril Bourez and Ester Manas – touch Elbaz’s DNA even as they investigate the key concept behind AZ Factory – taking couture ideas from the catwalk to the roadway.
- The results cleverly incorporated Ester Manas’ key strength – bold graphics and comprehensive fabrics.
- Thebe’s other prints were also admirable – in particular a red and white Meerkat print, move by hand, as was a zebra print sturdy cotton trench.
